David's Preparations for the Temple
And David said, This is the house of Jehovah Elohim, and this is the altar of burnt-offering for Israel.

І Давид наказав зібрати всіх прозелітів у землі Ізраїля, і поставив каменярами, щоб висікали шліфоване каміння, аби збудувати дім для Бога.
And David commanded to collect the strangers that were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of God.
І Давид приготував багато заліза на цвяхи для дверей, брам, одвірків і багато міді, — не було міри її ваги.
And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the joists, and brass in abundance without weight;
Він приготував кедрове дерево, — не було йому рахунку, — бо сидонці й тирці доставили Давидові багато кедрового дерева.
and cedar-trees innumerable; for the Zidonians and they of Tyre brought cedar-wood in abundance to David.
І сказав Давид: Мій син Соломон — мала дитина, а дім, який потрібно збудувати для Господа на велике прославлення, на Ім’я і на славу по всій землі. Тож приготую йому. І Давид перед своєю смертю заготовив багато всього.
For David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built for Jehovah must be exceeding great in fame and in beauty in all lands: I will therefore make preparation for it. And David prepared abundantly before his death.
І він закликав свого сина Соломона, і заповів йому збудувати дім Господу, Богові Ізраїля.
Solomon Anointed to Build the Temple
And he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build a house for Jehovah the God of Israel.

Давид сказав Соломонові: Дитино, мені зійшло на душу збудувати дім Імені Господа Бога!
And David said to Solomon, As for me, my son, I was minded to build a house unto the name of Jehovah my God.
Та було Господнє слово до мене, яке промовило: Ти пролив багато крові, і ти вів великі війни. Ти не збудуєш дому Моєму Імені, оскільки ти пролив багато крові на землю переді Мною!
But the word of Jehovah came to me saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build a house unto my name, for thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.
Ось у тебе народиться син, він буде чоловіком спокою, і дам йому спокій від усіх ворогів довкола, бо його ім’я — Соломон, тож мир і спокій над Ізраїлем Я подарую в його дні.
Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about; for his name shall be Solomon, and in his days I will give peace and quietness unto Israel.
Він збудує дім Моєму Імені, і він буде Мені за сина, а Я йому — за батька, і міцно встановлю престол твого царства в Ізраїлі навіки.
He shall build a house unto my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.
Тепер же, мій сину, нехай буде Господь з тобою і нехай веде, і ти збудуєш дім для Господа, твого Бога, як Він і сказав про тебе.
Now, my son, Jehovah be with thee, that thou mayest prosper, and build the house of Jehovah thy God, as he has said of thee.
Але тільки нехай Господь дасть тобі мудрості та пізнання, і зміцнить тебе над Ізраїлем, і щоб ти зберігав і виконував закон Господа, твого Бога.
Only, Jehovah give thee wisdom and understanding, and place thee over Israel, and to keep the law of Jehovah thy God.
Тоді матимеш успіх, якщо дбатимеш, аби виконувати настанови і присуди, які заповів Господь Мойсеєві для Ізраїля. Будь мужнім і кріпися, не бійся і не жахайся!
Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to perform the statutes and ordinances which Jehovah commanded Moses for Israel: be strong and courageous; fear not, neither be dismayed.
Ось я за моєю вбогістю приготував на Господній дім сто тисяч талантів золота і мільйон талантів срібла, міді та заліза, якому немає ваги, бо є так багато. Я приготував дерево і камінь, а ти ще добавиш до цього.
And behold, in my affliction I have prepared for the house of Jehovah a hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight, for it is in abundance; and timber and stone have I prepared; and thou shalt add to it.
І з тобою — багато тих, які виконують роботи: художники, будівельники з каменю й майстри по дереву, і кожний мудрий в усякому ділі,
And there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of skilful men for every kind of work.
в золоті, у сріблі, у міді та в залізі, якому немає рахунку. Підіймайся і чини, і Господь буде з тобою!
Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise and be doing and Jehovah be with thee.
І Давид дав вказівку всім володарям Ізраїля допомагати його синові Соломонові:
And David commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, [saying,]
Хіба немає Господа з вами? Він дав вам спокій довкола, бо віддав у ваші руки жителів землі. І земля покорилася перед Господом і перед Його народом.
Is not Jehovah your God with you? and has he [not] given you rest on every side? for he has given the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before Jehovah, and before his people.
Тепер посвятіть ваші серця і ваші душі, щоби шукали Господа, вашого Бога! Підніміться і збудуйте святиню для Господа, вашого Бога, щоб внести у дім, який будується для Імені Господа, ковчег Господнього завіту і святий Божий посуд!
Now set your heart and your soul to seek Jehovah your God; and arise and build the sanctuary of Jehovah Elohim, to bring the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and the vessels of the sanctuary of God into the house that is to be built unto the name of Jehovah.
