Divisions of the Levites

And the divisions of the sons of Aaron: the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

Надав і Авіюд померли перед їхнім батьком, і в них не було синів. А Елеазар і Ітамар, сини Аарона, служили.

And Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children; and Eleazar and Ithamar exercised the priesthood.

Тож Давид, Садок (із синів Елеазара) і Ахімелех (із синів Ітамара) поділили їх згідно з їхнім переписом, за їхнім служінням, за родинами по їхній батьківській лінії.

And David distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their office in their service.

І знайдено більше синів Елеазара на володарів сильних, аніж синів Ітамара, і він поділив їх. Синів Елеазара, володарів, за родинами по батьківській лінії — шістнадцять, синів Ітамара за родинами по батьківській лінії — вісім.

And there were more head-men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and [thus] were they divided: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen heads of fathers' houses, and eight of the sons of Ithamar according to their fathers' houses.

Він поділив їх за жеребом одних після інших, бо були володарі над святими речами і володарі Господні між синами Елеазара і між синами Ітамара.

And they were divided by lot, one with another; for the princes of the sanctuary and the princes of God were of the sons of Eleazar and of the sons of Ithamar.

Їх, перед царем, володарями, священиком Садоком і Ахімелехом, сином Авіятара, записав Самея, син Натанаїла, писар з роду Левія. Володарі родинних ліній священиків і левітів, родини по батьківській лінії: один Елеазарові, один Ітамарові.

And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, [one] of the Levites, inscribed them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the chief fathers of the priests and Levites: one father's house was drawn for Eleazar, and one drawn for Ithamar.

And the first lot came forth for Jehoiarib, the second for Jedaiah,

the third for Harim, the fourth for Seorim,

the fifth for Malchijah, the sixth for Mijamin,

the seventh for Hakkoz, the eighth for Abijah,

the ninth for Jeshuah, the tenth for Shecaniah,

the thirteenth for Huppah, the fourteenth for Jeshebeab,

the fifteenth for Bilgah, the sixteenth for Immer,

the seventeenth for Hezir, the eighteenth for Happizez,

дев’ятнадцятий — Фетею, двадцятий — Езекилові,

the nineteenth for Pethahiah, the twentieth for Ezekiel,

двадцять перший — Яхінові, двадцять другий — Ґамулові,

the twenty-first for Jachin, the twenty-second for Gamul,

18

двадцять третій — Далею, двадцять четвертий — Маасею.

the twenty-third for Delaiah, the twenty-fourth for Maaziah.

Це їхній перепис за їхнім служінням, щоб входили в Господній дім за їхнім приписом через їхнього батька Аарона, як і заповів Господь, Бог Ізраїля.

This is their ordering in their service to come into the house of Jehovah, according to their ordinance, through Aaron their father, as Jehovah the God of Israel had commanded him.

The Remainder of the Levites

And as for the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.

Раавієві — керівник Есія.

Of Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah, the head was Jishijah.

22

Іссарі — Саломот. Синам Саломота — Ят.

Of the Jizharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.

23

Сини Єдія: Амадія — другий, Язіїл — третій, Йоком — четвертий.

-- And the sons [of Hebron]: Jerijah [the head], Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.

Сини Озіїла — Міха. Сини Міхи — Самир.

The sons of Uzziel, Micah; of the sons of Micah, Shamir;

Брат Міхи — Ісія. Сини Ісії — Захарія.

the brother of Micah was Jishijah; of the sons of Jishijah, Zechariah.

Сини Мерарія: Моолій і Мусій, сини Озії, сини Воннія.

The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; the sons of Jaaziah, his son.

27

Сини Мерарія: Озієві, сини його — Іссам, Закхур і Авдій.

The sons of Merari by Jaaziah his son: Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.

28

У Моолія — Елеазар і Ітамар. А Елеазар помер, і в нього не було синів.

Of Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.

У Кіса — син Кіса: Ірамаїл.

Of Kish, the sons of Kish: Jerahmeel.

30

Сини Мусія: Моолій, Едер і Ярімот. Це — сини левітів за родинами по їхній батьківській лінії.

And the sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites according to their fathers' houses.

31

Отримали і вони жереб, як і їхні брати, сини Аарона, перед царем, Садоком, Ахімелехом і володарями родинних ліній священиків і левітів, — патріархи-голови так само, як і їхні молодші брати.

These likewise cast lots just as their brethren the sons of Aaron before David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief fathers of the priests and Levites, -- the chief fathers just as the youngest of their brethren.
