Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
Зійшлися земні царі, зібралися правителі разом проти Господа та проти Його Христа.

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
Розбиймо їхні кайдани і скиньмо із себе їхнє ярмо.
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Той, Хто живе на небі, висміє їх, Господь поглузує з них.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Тоді заговорить до них у Своєму гніві й у люті Своїй приведе їх у замішання.
Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Я був поставлений Ним царем над Сіоном — Його святою горою,
Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
щоби сповіщати Господні накази. Господь сказав мені: Ти — Мій Син, Я сьогодні Тебе породив.
I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Попроси в Мене — і дам Тобі народи у твою спадщину, — володіння Твоє до кінців землі.
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Ти їх пастимеш залізним жезлом, розіб’єш їх, як глиняний посуд.
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
Тож тепер, царі, зрозумійте, навчіться всі ви, які судите землю.
Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Служіть Господу зі страхом і радійте з Ним в трепеті.
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Прийміть повчання, щоб Господь не розгнівався, і ви не щезли з дороги правди, коли зненацька спалахне Його гнів. Блаженні всі ті, хто на Нього надіється.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
