Instruction for Apportioning Canaan
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
Накажи ізраїльським синам і промов до них: Ви входите в Ханаанську землю. Вона буде вам у спадок — Ханаанська земля в її границях.
“Command the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall to you as an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to its borders.
І буде вам належати південна сторона від пустелі Сін аж до кордону Едома; і буде для вас кордон з півдня — від частини Солоного моря зі сходу.
‘Your southern sector shall extend from the wilderness of Zin along the side of Edom, and your southern border shall extend from the end of the Salt Sea eastward.
І поверне ваш кордон на півдні до висот Акравіна, і пройде Сенну, і простягнеться на південь до Кадис-Варни, і вийде до поселення Арад, і пройде Асемону.
‘Then your border shall turn direction from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim and continue to Zin, and its termination shall be to the south of Kadesh-barnea; and it shall reach Hazaraddar and continue to Azmon.
Він обігне лінією від Асемони до єгипетського потоку, а закінченням буде море.
‘The border shall turn direction from Azmon to the brook of Egypt, and its termination shall be at the sea.
А західний кордон буде у вас: Велике море буде кордоном, — це буде ваш кордон із заходу.
‘As for the western border, you shall have the Great Sea, that is, its coastline; this shall be your west border.
А оце ваші кордони на півночі: від Великого моря відміряєте самі для себе від Гор-гори.
‘And this shall be your north border: you shall draw your border line from the Great Sea to Mount Hor.
І від Гор-гори відміряєте собі до входу в Емат, тож кордон перетне Сараду;
‘You shall draw a line from Mount Hor to the Lebo-hamath, and the termination of the border shall be at Zedad;
і вийде кордон до Дефрона, а його закінченням буде Асернаїн. Це буде для вас кордон з півночі.
and the border shall proceed to Ziphron, and its termination shall be at Hazar-enan. This shall be your north border.
І відміряєте для себе східний кордон від Асернаїна до Сепфами.
‘For your eastern border you shall also draw a line from Hazar-enan to Shepham,
І піде кордон від Сепфами до Арвили зі сходу, до джерел; далі кордон піде від Вили поза Генесаретським морем зі сходу.
and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain; and the border shall go down and reach to the slope on the east side of the Sea of Chinnereth.
І спуститься кордон по Йордані, а його закінченням буде Солоне море. Це буде ваша земля і її кордони довкола.
‘And the border shall go down to the Jordan and its termination shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to its borders all around.’”

So Moses commanded the sons of Israel, saying, “This is the land that you are to apportion by lot among you as a possession, which the LORD has commanded to give to the nine and a half tribes.

“These are the names of the men who shall apportion the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.

“You shall take one leader of every tribe to apportion the land for inheritance.
Ось імена тих мужів: з племені Юди — Халев, син Єфонії;
“These are the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
з племені Симеона — Саламіїл, син Еміюда;
“Of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Samuel the son of Ammihud.
з племені Веніамина — Елдад, син Хаслона;
“Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.
з племені Дана — старійшина Вакхір, син Еґлія;
“Of the tribe of the sons of Dan a leader, Bukki the son of Jogli.
із синів Йосифа з племені синів Манасії — старійшина Аніїл, син Уфіда;
“Of the sons of Joseph: of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh a leader, Hanniel the son of Ephod.
з племені синів Єфрема — старійшина Камуїл, син Савати;
“Of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim a leader, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.
з племені Завулона — старійшина Елісафан, син Фарнаха;
“Of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun a leader, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.
з племені синів Іссахара — старійшина Фалтіїл, син Ози;
“Of the tribe of the sons of Issachar a leader, Paltiel the son of Azzan.
з племені синів Асира — старійшина Ахіор, син Селемія;
“Of the tribe of the sons of Asher a leader, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.
з племені Нефталима — старійшина Фадаїл, син Венаміюда.
“Of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali a leader, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”
