Після цих слів Ісус підвів очі до неба й сказав: Отче, прийшов час. Прослав Свого Сина, щоби [Твій] Син прославив Тебе.

Prayer for the Son

These things Jesus spoke, and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son may glorify thee;

Оскільки Ти дав Йому владу над усяким тілом, щоб усім тим, кого Ти дав Йому, Він дав їм вічне життя.

as thou hast given him authority over all flesh, that [as to] all that thou hast given to him, he should give them life eternal.

Вічне життя є те, щоби знали Тебе, єдиного істинного Бога, і Того, Кого Ти послав, — Ісуса Христа.

And this is the eternal life, that they should know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

Я прославив Тебе на землі, завершив справу, яку Ти доручив Мені виконати.

I have glorified *thee* on the earth, I have completed the work which thou gavest me that I should do it;

А тепер Ти прослав Мене, Отче, у Себе тією славою, яку Я мав у Тебе ще перед тим, як світ постав.

and now glorify *me*, *thou* Father, along with thyself, with the glory which I had along with thee before the world was.

Я виявив Твоє Ім’я людям, яких Ти Мені дав зі світу. Твої вони були, і Мені дав Ти їх, і вони зберегли Твоє слово.

Prayer for the Disciples

I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world. They were thine, and thou gavest them me, and they have kept thy word.

7

Нині вони зрозуміли, що все, що Ти дав Мені, є від Тебе.

7

Now they have known that all things that thou hast given me are of thee;

8

Адже слова, які Ти Мені дав, Я передав їм, і вони прийняли і справді зрозуміли, що Я вийшов від Тебе, повіривши, що Ти Мене послав.

for the words which thou hast given me I have given them, and they have received [them], and have known truly that I came out from thee, and have believed that thou sentest me.

9

Я за них благаю, — не за світ благаю, але за тих, кого Ти Мені дав, бо вони Твої;

I demand concerning them; I do not demand concerning the world, but concerning those whom thou hast given me, for they are thine,

10

і все Моє — Твоє, а Твоє — Моє; і Я прославився в них.

(and all that is mine is thine, and [all] that is thine mine,) and I am glorified in them.

11

Я більше не є у світі, а вони у світі; Я ж іду до Тебе! Отче Святий, збережи їх у Твоє Ім’я — тих, кого Ти Мені дав, — щоби були одне, як і Ми.

11

And I am no longer in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one as we.

12

Коли Я був з ними [у світі], Я оберігав їх у Твоє Ім’я, — тих, кого Ти Мені дав, — і Я їх зберіг, і ніхто з них не загинув, крім сина погибелі, щоби сповнилося Писання.

When I was with them I kept them in thy name; those thou hast given me I have guarded, and not one of them has perished, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.

13

Нині ж до Тебе Я іду, і кажу про це у світі, щоб вони в собі мали повноту Моєї радості.

And now I come to thee. And these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in them.

14

Я дав їм Твоє Слово, але світ їх зненавидів, бо вони не від світу, як і Я не від світу.

14

I have given them thy word, and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

15

Не благаю, щоб Ти забрав їх від світу, але щоби зберіг їх від злого.

15

I do not demand that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them out of evil.

16

Вони не від світу, як і Я не від світу.

16

They are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

17

Освяти їх істиною [Своєю]! Твоє Слово — то істина.

17

Sanctify them by the truth: thy word is truth.

18

Як Ти послав Мене у світ, так і Я послав їх у світ.

18

As thou hast sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world;

19

За них Я посвячую Себе, щоб і вони були освячені істиною.

19

and I sanctify myself for them, that they also may be sanctified by truth.

20

Та благаю не лише за них, а й за тих, хто повірить у Мене через їхнє слово,

Prayer for all Believers

And I do not demand for these only, but also for those who believe on me through their word;

21

щоб усі були одне, — так, як Ти, Отче, у Мені, а Я в Тобі, — щоб і вони в Нас були; аби світ повірив, що Ти Мене послав.

21

that they may be all one, as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22

І Я передав їм славу, яку Ти Мені дав, — щоби були одне, як і Ми одне.

22

And the glory which thou hast given me I have given them, that they may be one, as we are one;

23

Я в них, а Ти — в Мені; хай будуть досконалі в єдності, аби світ пізнав, що Ти Мене послав і полюбив їх, як і Мене полюбив.

23

I in them and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one [and] that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and [that] thou hast loved them as thou hast loved me.

24

Отче, хочу, щоб ті, яких Ти Мені дав, були зі Мною там, де Я, щоби бачили Мою славу, яку Ти Мені дав, бо Ти полюбив Мене раніше від створення світу.

24

Father, [as to] those whom thou hast given me, I desire that where I am they also may be with me, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me, for thou lovedst me before [the] foundation of [the] world.

25

Отче Праведний! Світ Тебе не пізнав, але Я Тебе пізнав. І вони пізнали, що Ти Мене послав.

25

Righteous Father, -- and the world has not known thee, but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

26

І Я виявив їм Твоє Ім’я, і виявлятиму, щоб любов, якою Ти полюбив Мене, була в них, і Я — в них.

26

And I have made known to them thy name, and will make [it] known; that the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them and I in them.
